Family

Our desire at Ascension Church is to help you have the family God desires you to have.  Family is God`s idea; He saw Adam alone in the garden of Eden and said it is not good for man to be alone, so He made a mate (Eve) for him. Jesus performed his first miracle at a wedding. Strong marriages based on God and His word, when modeled, will produce children that will do the same.

We have ministry for adults, teens, children, nursery and would love to serve your family.

Youth

John Watson serves as our Youth Pastor. Native to the area, John pours his heart into the youth every Wednesday night, starting at 7pm. Releasing the word of the Lord over the Youth, raising them up in the word of God, and involving the youth in various outings, John truly has a heart for the Lord, and for the youth in the area.

Children

Ascension church has made it our goal to make our children’s ministry the best that it can be. We believe that in this time of life, God wants to move through and use the children of today. Our goal is to train and equip your child to be a true follower of Christ.  Teaching them to learn how to hear from God, obey the authority over them, and grow up loving themselves as they learn to love others.

Won’t you join us in this exciting time in your child’s life, as we teach them to become the next history makers! Come follow the Son! AC Kids is the children’s ministry program at Ascension. It services kids ages 3 yrs. old to 6th grade. We offer various programs including Children’s Church, vacation Bible School and Fellowship Activities. We have a great group of teachers that are spirit filled and willing to pour all they can into the children. The Children’s Director is Angie Freeman Sanborn.  Angie has been a part of AC since the doors opened over 20 years ago.  She was a youth leader for four years, pouring into the hearts and minds of youth, the word of God.  Now working with the 3 yr olds – 6th grade, Angie is helping to mold the next generation. “Working with the younger children has been a blessing” -Angie
