Jayne Houghton grew up in Southern California where her spiritual walk started as a teenager during the Charismatic Renewal. Her road to ministry began when she was greatly impacted by a personal encounter with Katherine Kuhlman.

Helping found a youth program in inner city San Diego and subsequently a Single’s Ministry at Melodyland Christian Center in Anaheim, were early ministry milestones.

Jayne’s heart has always been centered around home, family, and friends with an emphasis on relationship and the healing power that is available to us in meaningful God-centered connectedness.

Jayne’s college BA and teaching experience in elementary education as well as an MA in Marriage and Family Counseling have provided a firm foundation for ministry. In 1978 she joined with her husband, Al, in founding “Word at Work” Ministries and has lived by faith since.

Currently, she is traveling and ministering with Al, and has assisted in co authoring two book– Marked Men and Converts or Disciples? Her passions are people, prayer, writing poetry and above all pursuing the Prince of Peace.
